Remedial massage is the treatment and systematic evaluation of the muscles, ligaments, tendons of the body to help the treatment, pain and rehabilitation of injuries. 2.What is remedial massage good for? A remedial massage has many benefits, can help correct and reduce injuries in the body, reduce stress, control the immune system, reduce pain and muscle tension, improve posture, increase flexibility and joint mobility and improve the tone of the skin
3.Does remedial massage hurt? Our massage therapists will work within your levels of comfort to ensure that you get the most of your experience.
4.Can I claim this on my health fund? Yes! All our therapists are registered with most private Health Funds (Bupa, Medibank, nib, Frank, etc). HICAPS is available for your convenience, which means that with most of Health Funds, you can claim instantly on the day. If your Health Fund is not registered with HICAPS for Remedial Massage, we are able to email you with a receipt with which you can then claim your rebate either online or manually.
5.How often should I get a remedial massage? Some people believe in having one fortnightly or once monthly massages. Others attend when they have a flare up of an issue. It depends on your lifestyle and approach to injury and health. Too see the full range of benefits, a monthly massage is the usual recommendation.
6.Is remedial massage covered by medicare? No is not cover by medicare, if you have a private health fund policy with extra benefits you will be able to claim a rebate via our HICAPS terminal.

8.What happens at my first massage therapy visit? Your massage therapist may request that you fill out a confidential medical history form. Afterwards your therapist will begin by asking you general questions about what areas you would like to have massaged and if you like any special kind of massage, your current health symptoms and conditions to determine if massage therapy is a suitable type of treatment for you. Your massage therapist may perform an assessment to test and evaluate your condition, and to identify any problem areas.
9.Can I have a remedial massage when I am pregnant? Yes! Of course it is possible! If you have had regular massages in the past you can continue with normality, if you have never had a massage it is better to wait until the third trimester has passed. We have special pillows that allow you to lie down while you have your massage. In any case it is advisable to talk to your doctor and have authorization from him before having the massage.
